10 minutes is enough time to profit from betting on horse races/casino games. (probably not stock markets and similar, except for really large and sudden movements)
    We could be rich, people!

I would contend that the Undersiders didn't seem like they were naturally villainous types, they just had outside influences acting on them. Lisa would have been happier as a Rogue, Brian could have gone any way that would have him and Aisha safe/secure, Taylor started out wanting to be a hero, and Rachel seemed like she mostly wanted to be left alone. Alec probably would have done whatever amused him most at the time. Same for Aisha, with a side of staying passing close to Brian.

[x] Experimentation. You've got powers now, and you need to know how they work.
--{X}try throwing something with your hands you may be a blaster too?
--[X] attempt to only send your mind back in time or forwards may be a thinker?

    Something for relatively long-term experimentation;
Is the 10 minutes per day subjective time or real-time?
Because if it's subjective time, you would get an extra 10 minutes spread over 144 days.

    Olivebirdy mook.

10 minutes is really not that bad. Depends on how quickly we can react to being hurt. Being shot and un-shot should take less than 3 seconds.

Yes, the Undersiders were not inherently villainous, but they all had forces working upon them. I want to check out the family, see if there are any such forces on us.

  6. How about testing a battery?

Measure the voltage, drain it quickly, measure, rewind battery, measure.

    Potentially unlimited power?

    Could be very useful.

  7. [X] Homework and sleep. Today hasn't been as exhausting as yesterday, but you could still use some extra rest.

We could try making money from gambling but there are probably people watching for thinkers or other capes using there power to win too frequently so we would have to be careful. For now we should rest up.

  8. [X] Homework and sleep. Today hasn't been as exhausting as yesterday, but you could still use some extra rest.

Rest first, though we should see about testing random events, re-rewinding, and shaping the effect to exclude stuff from the general rewind once we're rested and recharged. Also doing the opposite.

We could make a killing taking old damaged antiques and "repairing" them so they are as good as new. Or we could go a coil route. rough someone up, ask them some questions then rewind time.

  11. There may be a Manton Effect preventing the rewind from working on the plant but it could also be that living matter or simple more complex systems take longer to reverse. One way to be sure is to damage the fern noticable so he can tell if it is simple not working on the fern or working far slower than the watch.

  12. Good idea to see what it does to damaged stuff. Not that we can test till we recharge

Homework&sleep is currently in the lead by one vote, followed by jeffjway's plan. Voting will be open for one more hour, then the update will get underway.

EDIT: Hey, wow. Thanks, birdy, for the sig link. :)

[] Homework and sleep. Today hasn't been as exhausting as yesterday, but you could still use some extra rest.

You really should get some research done, but at the same time, you don't want to slack off on your homework.

Homework is homework. It's actually kind of disappointing that, as many other pratical uses as your powers have, they still can't make homework any less boring.

You get through it, and fall into bed. Even though you didn't feel like you did half as much as you did yesterday, you fall into the same sort of coma-like sleep.

Friday morning dawns bright and early, and you luxuriate in the feeling of no classes. You'll have to study at some point, but other than that, the weekend stretches out in front of you in a glorious expanse of no academic responsibilities. You cautiously prod at your reservoir, and find that it's replenished itself as you slept.

"Hey, Kay, c'mere, the PRT has lost their shit," Amanda calls through the door, with a belated knock.

You throw on some clothes and shuffle out of your room. You used to more or less ignore the PRT and Protectorate, but now it involves you a bit more than 'look at what the capes are doing now'.

"...to call the move controversial is an understatement, Jenny," the newsanchor reports, shuffling the papers in front of him. "Independent parahumans all over the state are rallying against it, calling it unfair and prejudiced."

"Supporters of the plan say that Rogues should have no problem paying taxes like everyone else, and that there are no inherent security problems." Jenny glances over at her co-anchor, then back to the camera. "We could not reach any Protectorate heroes for comment."

"It won't pass," Solstice says, eyes glued to the screen. "The Fates won't let it, and Glacier doesn't mess around about his money."

Amanda snorts. "Glacier's lazy, and don't expect anything much from the Fates."

Their argument moves onto a back-and-forth about the current head of the PRT and his attempts to bring Tampa Bay's Rogues into the Protectorate. The guy has been trying to introduce restrictions on Rogues for the past year or so, but it looks like this push might go through. From what you can piece together out of the news and their argument, the latest try is a higher tax on parahumans who use their powers in business.

There's a class-less day ahead of you. You have a shift at the donut shop tonight, but up until then your schedule is open.

    ---
    Pick three:

[] Listen to Amanda and Solstice. Now that you've got powers, this is very, very relevant to you.
[] Research. Tampa Bay capes, people with time-related powers.
[] Experimentation. You didn't have time to do everything you wanted to yesterday, and tonight before your shift seems like a good time for it.
--[] Write-in. How do you test your powers?
[] Study. You've got to do it at some point this weekend, may as well be today.
    [] Write-in.

    Reservoir: 10mins/10mins

--[X] Write-in. How do you test
    your powers?
[X] Make a bet with one of your roomates for some silly wager. Cheat.
[X] Try to de-age a plant after tearing off a leaf. Two leaves? What happens? Does the leaf in your hand disappear?
[X] Attempt to de-age Personal Time, except for your watch.
    [X] Notch a fingernail, de-age.
[X] De-age a lock of hair, while still attached to your head. Does it grow shorter? How fast?
[X] If these regressed slowly, try the marker test on your body.
If they regressed quickly, then either they are not alive, or congrats, you've found the Fountain of Youth.
[X]Measure the rate of de-aging. Alive vs inanimate. How much time per second of rewinding? Use a watch, and a plant you've notched every second for a minute. 60 notches, each one second apart.
[X]‏Once the timing is measured, try the marker test.‎‏ ‏

You're welcome for the sig, GM, I'm having fun.

    --[X] Take notes

[X] Research. Tampa Bay capes, people with time-related powers.
--[X] Research also about who to contact for "So, you triggered and got superpowers now" scenarios. The local PRT-ish hotline? Mutant Registration Act? Also, who are the main Rogue group or main voice for the Rogues, are they for or against the new Act? (kinda need to make a decision as to which side to take on the matter also)

[X] Experimentation. You didn't have time to do everything you wanted to yesterday, and tonight before your shift seems like a good time for it.
(I'm gonna assume Manton limits on targetted organics based on the previous plant experiment. If that's alright by you guys)
--[X] Test Range. Do I need to be holding object or Line of sight.
----[X] Rewind time for another handy inorganic object (not the watch, maybe a used battery??) from distance. Test amount of energy in battery after also. (test line of sight since watch yesterday was touch. Also test for restoration of state of battery from used to full)
----[X] Rewind time for another handy object (this time a cup of tea with teabag) from another room, cup out of sight. Check if multiple objects affected (cup + water + teabag), check reservoir drain (same? triple?), is tea just starting to steep again (tea difussing into clear water) or just same tea with heat energy regained
----[X] (assuming last experiment went ok) Rewind time for another handy object (normal pencil, sharpened to half it's length) that is kept on your bedroom desk when just about to start your shift (which mean you're quite a distance away inside the donought shop). Verify state of pencil after shift is over

Ridtom Good. Bad. I'm the man with the Wand.

I'm guessing that we can only rewind within a certain area, a box or bubble perhaps.

  21. Try rewinding a dice throw. Rewind that thrice. Also try cutting a plant and rewinding it. same with paper. Ice cream that you ate?

Someone help put those in a vote. On mobile

----[X] Anonymize ourselves. Use TOR or something. Or, better yet, search for the stuff we need, then unwind time to before we searched it, if we have minutes left.

Hmm. While waiting for voting to end, anyone wanna think up our cape name?
    Are we sticking with <Rewind>?
Maybe go for stuff like <Tardis>, <Looper> or maybe <Backstep>?

Probably not Tardis. The copyright issues would be immense.
