    Cloak&Dagger Definitely Insane

In this scenario, Nasser is a better politician and leader, and the new nation is stable, and any economic issues caused by it are fixed, and there's actually a bit of growth too.

How does this change the ME? Do any more nations join, and does Pan-Arabism become the next Pan-Germanism?

  2. Depends on how the various wars go?
  3. As I recall there was a equally short lived Arab royalist federation which was more of a confederation that was opposed to the united Arab republic and the united republic was in a loose confederation with north Yemen.

Assuming conditions allowed for the united republic to be more stable happened its likely those same conditions would have allowed the rival group to also survive in which case you'd end up with two rival arab groups one republican and one royalist acting as political rivals to each other with the Iranians, Lebanese and Israelis nervously stuck in the middle.
